1 Set.. 3 Ways

The co-ord set has to be one of my favourite fashion styles. It’s simple, easy to style and in my opinion, they are just so darn cute!

I own so many sets myself and never get sick of them. Whether its a mini skirt and crop, jumper and shorts, pants and a top, you name it I have it. They are the easiest outfit to put together because there is no guessing. And you won’t have to tear your wardrobe apart trying to find the perfect match because guess what? You already have it!

So yes, I love sets for their ease of wearing being a whole outfit in one (minus the accessories of course). BUT, you can also style them separately which makes buying a set 100 times better. Because really, you're getting three outfits for the price of one, who doesn’t want that?

One set I am absolutely loving at the moment is this adorable little knit crop and mini skirt. This set is everything I love and more. The top is a halter neck which I adore as it just adds a bit more shape and is really flattering on the body. While the skirt is high-waisted which is a must for me with an elasticated waist so its super flexible. Both pieces are a fairy floss pink and white (my two favourites) with a textured knit and contrast rib panels which adds a bit of personality, creating that ‘cool and effortless look’.

When it comes to wearing your set, there are three ways you can do so. Here are the three ways I have chosen to style mine:

Style 1:

So obviously the first way to style your set is to wear it together. Simple, effortless, put it on, find a pair of cute shoes and a bag and you're ready to head out the door. Couldn’t be easier. I have dressed it down with sneakers for a more casual daytime look, however swapping them out for a pair of heels easily transforms the outfit from day to night.

Style 2:

There are endless options for styling the top of your set. Whether you pair it with a different skirt, shorts, denim, knit pants, you can be as creative was you want. Here I have paired my top with some high waisted white trousers. I like these two together as the smooth texture of the pants adds a nice contrast to the knit top whilst still keeping the white colour to match. Alternatively, jeans or a denim skirt would also work really well for a more casual look.

Style 3:

As i’m working with a knit mini skirt, here I have paired it with a white knit jumper. Once again, I’m keeping with the white theme as I think it looks best, however black would work too or even a subtle pattern. I’ve added the french tuck with the jumper just add a little definition (this works for all body types and makes the outfit a little more dressy). In the warmer weather however, I would definitely pair the skirt with a white bandeau, bodysuit or an embroidered shirt to mix and match textures!

The options really are endless when it comes to styling. As much as wearing it together is the easiest option, don't be afraid to step out and try styling your set with other tops and bottoms. Have some fun with it!
